Our story
Two decades ago in Silicon Valley, Todd Smith and Justin Gelinas worked side by side helping Cisco Systems and other tech giants build the foundations of modern infrastructure.
Immersed in innovation, they gained a front row view of how global leaders scaled systems and drove growth, lessons that would later shape TAHO.
Justin went on to found and exit a successful technology firm serving Fortune 500s, uncovering deep inefficiencies in distributed compute, specifically IoT for smart cities and HPC enabled environments.
Todd joined Facebook’s global infrastructure team, where he met Michal Ashby, both helping scale systems that powered billions of users and guided the company through its IPO.
They later repeated that success at Snap before moving into other executive leadership roles at prominent tech companies.
In 2024, their paths converged. Drawing from decades building hyperscale systems, they set out to solve a shared challenge: the inefficiency of traditional High Performance Computing.
From Cisco to Facebook and Snap, their journey has come full circle, from powering the internet’s biggest platforms to creating the next one.
TAHO is the culmination of a collective 50 plus years of infrastructure innovation. Together, we're building the future of computing.
